The review
For the vehicle-loving preschooler fans, these Amazing Machines picture books are perfect. This was bought for him by his grandma because of its fun rhymes, fun artwork and mad, wacky characters. It's quite reminiscent of some of the books I grew up reading.
Expect lots of alliteration which makes for a catchy rhythm when reading out loud. It might also make it easier for children to remember, but at the very least it's a bit more fun for me after reading it for the 20th time.
I have another book from the series and they repeat the characters, a bird, mouse and bunny, so there's a sense of familiarity when you continue the series.
There's also an illustrated glossary at the end which highlights and explains some of the more technical vocabulary. Did you know for instance, what an articulated truck is? After you read this series, you will!
This book was purchased at NTUC FairPrice Finest, which might not be your first option for purchasing books, but some outlets have a decent selection of children's books!
