The review
Continuing our transportation theme, this is a sturdy board book that boasts 100 questions and 70 lift-the-flaps to explore!
The book starts off with an introduction to the wheel and its invention, and we keep rolling with it!
With flaps big and small, get a chance to examine a car's engine, learn the history behind the inventors of the aeroplane, and get up close with lots of construction vehicles, monster trucks, sailboats and more.
The questions make for good prompts especially with the young ones being at an age where they can't read but need to be read to. The colours are also very bright and eye-catching.
The flaps might be a bit stiff, and will need a bit of poking to pull them out for the first few times, and some are long and narrow. Look out for those as eager little hands might pull them apart before you know it!
Cat Socrates is a lovely indie store that I've gone to since my university days. They have a small but very well-curated set of children's books and toys, amongst other home, books, gardening and lifestyle products from independent designers and publishers alike.
