Ah the much talked about potty training phase! It will be a matter of time before parents and child will have to battle the transition from diaper to toilet and you'd be glad to know that there is no shortage of educational material for both parent and child out there!
When we thought it was about time for Foolet to start getting comfortable with the idea of using the potty, we decided to get the help of books!
Honestly our journey in potty training happened over two periods. We tried it when he was just under two years old. This was one of the books I bought on Amazon as it was well-reviewed. I liked the drawing style and the simple storytelling. However it was quite funny to note that he was more interested to know why the dog peed on the tree than anything else. It didn't do anything to encourage him to start using the potty though!
Personally I'm more of the belief that when they're ready, they're ready so we didn't force him to use the potty after he showed strong resistance the first time. Fast forward to almost a year later just a few months shy of his 3rd birthday, this time he was ready.
Did this book help him get comfortable with potty training? Not really! It's still an enjoyable book to read nevertheless.
