The review
This is a lift the flap book on trains aimed at toddlers.
Covering modern trains, steam trains, funiculars, it also dives into the origins of the steam train, especially the first passenger train aka "The Rocket".
The flaps do a good job at highlighting various facts about trains, and also invites the reader to take a peek at various parts of the trains. Great at prompting conversations.
Not all flaps are static, the one that shows the boring machine in particular can be rotated to mimic its action.
It's a relatively sturdy book as well, which stands up well to toddlers who do not comprehend the meaning of treating their books with care.
Easy to read, bright colours and clear illustrations, plus a ton of flaps make it good for repeat reading.
