The review
A told B, and B told C, "I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree."
Loud and exuberant, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom was given to Foolet for his 3rd birthday by his school principal.
The much-beloved authors have created a story where the cheeky letters are having a mad race up the coconut tree, led by the ringleader letter a/A. No surprises, it's quickly overloaded but the unrepentant letters resume their mischievous and competitive race despite some scrapes and bumps.
The infectious rhyming text, together with the bold drawings make for a fun and entertaining way to learn the alphabet. Foolet loved how it was punctuated with "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom", which he found to be highly entertaining! Nowadays, whenever we punctuate our sentences with these four words, it's bound to send him into a fit of laughter.
